We are celebrating a significant and heartfelt milestone — the 20th anniversary of the Department of Foreign Languages and Country Studies, which since 2005 has been training students of the Faculty of Tourism in professional English and German according to European standards.
We sincerely thank the first Head of the Department, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Vasyl Mykolayovych Uhrynuk, who led the team from 2005 to 2022 and laid the foundation of professionalism, stability, and development. Special gratitude goes to all faculty members who have worked in the department over the years and become part of its history — your contribution lives on in every student, every achievement, and every project.
Since 2022, the Department has been headed by PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor Halyna Vasyliivna Apelt. Under her leadership, the team continues to grow, innovate, and implement modern approaches to language education.
Today, the Department includes:
• 6 Associate Professors and 1 Senior Lecturer
• 3 PhDs ( Philology)
• 2 PhDs (Pedagogy)
• 1 PhD (Psychology)
• And countless students proudly representing the Faculty of Tourism worldwide
The celebration confirmed that the Department is not just an academic unit, but a family nurturing professionals, researchers, and cultural ambassadors of Ukraine.
